Reflexive Embodiment

Reflexive embodiment is when you, as a body, are both the doer and the receiver of an action: for example, washing yourself or taking a selfie. This is more simple to understand if you can speak French as they have a whole slew of reflexive verbs which articulate this concept. In English it’s more complicated as we do not really acknowledge these as any specific kind of action.
