Walking through the Taff Trail and around Cardiff, I started taking photos of flowers that grow in wales. I found that I’m particularly attracted to flowering plants with multiple blossoms, particularly if they are white or a pale colour like pear blossoms, or wild garlic.
In particular I was most attracted to cow parsley (left) and elderflower (right). Elderflower is attractive in that the stamens are so prominent, but I do not like how the petals overlap since that doesn’t make for a very good pattern. I like the cows parsley more because it has lots of delicate little flowers, and they’re all visible separately. Also, the stamens are attractive in the way that they stick out between the petals, as well as the different sizes of the petals which creates an interesting visual effect.
