Perspex Initial Tests

After thermoforming, and attaching all the bent petals together in their matching groups, I used a light fitting to demonstrate how each one will look when used for their intended purpose. I still need to find a way to attach the main part of the shade to the light fitting. Initially, I was going to use a metal frame piece and sandwich that in the screw-on fitting, but instead I will likely use a separate piece of perspex made for the job.

The pictures are not too clear, but I thought that trying a different type of lightbulb would make the whole light more interesting. Rather than a dome, or drop shaped bulb (although a drop-shaped one could be interesting since there are a variety of flowers in this shape, such as fuchsia) I thought that a swirly bulb would look more interesting, and maybe like a stamen of a flower.
